There’s much more to seeing a production at the Library Theatre than just the actors you see on stage.
Behind the scenes, there is a busy front-of-house operation taking in cloakroom, bar, programme sellers and ushers; a technical department comprising sound and lighting staff; the production team comprising a crew of set-builders, Company Stage Manager, Deputy Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager; the Wardrobe Department; the Marketing team whose responsibility it is to make sure the public and the media are kept-up-to date about what’s happening at the theatre; an Education Department who undertake outreach work with people of all ages throughout the city; and the Artistic and Administration Staff, including the fund-raising and development departments.
There is no set nor established way of getting a job in the theatre industry; all our staff can tell a different story of their previous experience and their route into a career at the Library Theatre Company.
